Taylor Farms has unveiled a three-part, renewable, alternative energy system at its Gonzales, CA facility. The system combines wind, solar and cogeneration energy systems and is projected to offset energy usage at the facility by 90 percent.

The 1MW GE wind turbine has produced an annual energy offset of 16 percent since its installation in November 2014, while the 1MW solar array, installed in July 2016, has generated a 10 percent energy offset annually. The natural gas-powered cogeneration system, installed this month, is expected to produce an annual energy offset of 64 percent.

Taylor Farms is a leading producer of value-added produce and healthy fresh foods. Family owned, the company is based in Salinas, CA and operates 12 production and distribution sites throughout North America.
