Nestlé Waters North America adding new recycling labeling

Affects all its major U.S. bottled water brands

Pfw 6594 Aug News Nestle Waters How2recycle Label2 7

Nestlé Waters North America is in the process of adding the How2Recyle label on the half-liter bottles of its Nestlé Pure Life, Poland Spring, Deer Park, Ice Mountain, Zephyrhills, Ozarka and Arrowhead brands. The label’s instruction to “Empty & Replace Cap” helps ensure bottle caps will be recycled, since those replaced on bottles are less likely to fall through recyclers’ equipment and be discarded.

Created in 2012 by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, a collaboration of businesses, educational institutions and government agencies that aims to make recycling easier for consumers, the How2Recyle label has been adopted by more than 65 brands and retailers so far. Nestlé Waters North America is the first beverage manufacturer in North America to add the label to all its major U.S. bottled water brands, a roll out it anticipates completing sometime next month.
