Beer container growth

Market research firm The Freedonia Group announced that the world demand for beer containers will grow nearly 3% per year to 315 billion units in 2005. Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Asia will lead the demand.

Glass bottles will show faster gains than metal cans, despite cans continuing to supplant glass in most countries. More details are available in “World Beer Containers,” a 327-page study selling for $4군 from the Freedonia Group. Phone: 440/684-9600, or visit www.freedoniagroup.com.
