Companies:Pro Mach, Inc. has acquired Allpax Products, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of sterilization, material handling and automated controls systems for food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.  The acquisition will add retort and sterilization capabilities to Pro Mach's diverse portfolio of packaging equipment solutions.

Smurfit-Stone Container has agreed to sell its consumer packaging group to an affiliate of private equity firm Texas Pacific Group.

Markem Corp. is partnering with ThingMagic, Inc. to further enhance its RFID products.

New Jersey Packaging has expanded its size and increased production capabilities with the addition of a new facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.  The 30,000 sq' facility is scheduled to be operational in early summer.

Werum Software & Systems announced that West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. will purchase and implement the PAS-X MES solutions for their North American plants.

GE Fanuc Automation named Instrument Control Systems, Inc. as
a new Premier Solution provider.

Domino Printing Sciences plc and Systech Intl. announced an agreement that will combine Domino's marking and coding solutions and Systech's TIPS Serialised Product Tracking solution.

Eriez announced plans to expand its plant in Erie, PA.  The expansion will add 24,000 sq' to the facility.

Sherwood Technology changed its name to DataLase.

Flint Group was selected as the new name for the holding company created by the merger in late 2005 of XSYS Print Solutions, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Flint Ink Corp. Dave Fescoln was named CEO of the new company.

Ulhmann recently expanded its New Jersey headquarters in order to enhance its
customer service and support capabilities.

ScentSational Technologies announced an agreement with The Aroma Co., U.K., to help support the increased demand for ScentSational's technology throughout Europe.

Crown Holdings, Inc. is increasing its capabilities to manufacture specialty
beverage cans at two of its North American
facilities to meet growing demand for energy drinks, juices, and beer.

PlastiScience, LLC and DerriTech Consultants Intl. merged to form PlastiScience.

Fasson Roll North America, div. of Avery Dennison Corp. is investing more than $20 million in additional coating and finishing capacity at its facility in Quakertown, PA.

Eastman Chemical Co., through its Chinese subsidiary, Eastman (Shanghai) Chemical Commercial Co., Ltd., has entered into an exclusive, long-term agreement with West Tech Chemical Ltd. West Tech will build and operate a manufacturing facility in YunFu, China, to produce rosin derivatives and resin dispersions to support Eastman's current and future customer needs in the Asia Pacific region.

Wulftec Intl. Inc. invested $1.5 million into its Ayer's Cliff plant expansion project.

Technik Packaging Machinery signed with ASA Systems, Mainhausen, Germany, its as North American dealer.

Appleton appointed Kathleen Bolhous vice president and general manager of

Uniloy Milacron filled the following new management positions: Dave Skala, vice president and general manager of Uniloy Milacron North America; Mark Jenkins, director, Uniloy Services; Rich Smith director, marketing and sales, reciprocating screw technologies; and Don Meehling, new business development manager for nonreciprocating products and technologies.
