Invista has formulated Polyclear® Conserve™ PET, a polyester polymer that contains as much as 20% post-consumer recycled PET and features good color and clarity.

The polymer reduces potential contamination issues because it is not a simple blend of reground post-consumer recycled PET flake combined with virgin PET resin. The process uses bottle-grade post-consumer recycled PET flake and reduces it back to its prepolymer feedstock. The polymer is repolymerized to enable it to process like a virgin PET polymer. Suitable for use in container applications, including bottled water, carbonated soft drinks and more.
