Serious seafood violations were among the issues cited by FDA in its November 12 letter to CFS Operating Limited. The letter was released publicly December 1 on FDA's Web site. The violations include failure to implement a HAACP plan for the company’s tuna salad sandwiches. In addition, says the Longview News-Journal, “oxygen-restrictive packaging did not adequately prevent the growth of botulinum and toxin formation.”
