The Flexco Novitool Amigo press enables welding together 2 ends of a thermoplastic conveyor belt, without removing it from the system. The ends of the belt are placed in the templates to secure the belt for trimming. The press pre-heating function removes any moisture remaining in the belt and prevents air from being trapped. Then, the press applies heat to the belt ends in a controlled manner without physical contact and produces a secure splice in only a few minutes. The heating wire only works when the safety guard is closed; heating zone and temperature control are screened to ensure consistent joint parameters, regardless of ambient temperatures.
