Volumetric feeder requires minimal maintenance

The Acrison Model 905-18 304 stainless-steel volume feeder meters “strand-type” materials that contain small amounts of moisture in lengths from 0.4 to 0.75 in. An integral 5-cu-ft supply hopper with a distribution trough empties onto a slow-moving metering/conveyor belt with two pile depth control and leveling mechanisms. A rotating dispersing mechanism at the discharge end of the belt produces a uniform flow of material, while the belt’s speed controls the output feed rate.
