A standalone system, the Piab vacuum conveyor is built for food processors that handle many different materials and/or require frequent changes need to be made. The piFLOW p SMART self-optimizing vacuum conveyor uses machine learning to determine what type of material it is dealing with and automatically adjust itself to optimize how it is conveyed. Strategically placed sensors assist the conveyor’s auto-tuning system to control and fine-tune in accordance with environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, that affect the properties of conveyed material. The filling level is constantly monitored by two sensors to safeguard against filter damage.
