Maruchan Virginia breaks ground on expansion

The plant will produce and package ramen noodle flavor packets.

Maruchan Virginia Inc., a subsidiary of Tokyo, Japan-based Toyo Suisan Kaisha Ltd., has begun a highly automated manufacturing expansion on its Chesterfield, Virginia, site. Consisting of an additional 60,000-sq-ft building with two-story mezzanine floors, the project is scheduled to be complete in autumn 2019.

Gray Construction will perform the design-build services.
