Bimbo Bakeries USA Facilities Earn EPA’s ENERGY STAR Certification

The achievement demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to environmental stewardship while also lowering energy costs.

A number of Bimbo Bakeries USA facilities across the country have earned EPA ENERGY STAR certification, which is given to industrial plants that perform in the top 25% for energy efficiency among similar facilities nationwide and meet strict energy-efficiency performance levels set by the EPA. The company has reportedly improved its energy performance by managing energy strategically across its entire organization and making cost-effective improvements to its plants.

The BBU bakeries that earned certification this year include three located in New York, three in California, two in Wisconsin, and one facility in each of the following states: Arizona, Iowa, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Utah.
