Mars Wrigley Logo

Mars Wrigley and Danimer Scientific, a leading developer and manufacturer of biodegradable materials, have entered into a two-year partnership to develop home-compostable packaging that biodegrades in soil and oceans.

Mars Wrigley will begin using Danimer Scientific’s signature packaging Nodax®PHA, which is produced through natural fermentation processes using plant oils, for its SKITTLES products in the U.S. later this year or in early 2022. It will continue to evaluate opportunities to scale this innovative, sustainable packaging technology across its portfolio of brands and categories.
