Flexco is pleased to announce that Chris Byrne has been named Light-Duty (LD) Business Unit Director. Byrne will guide the strategic vision and business performance of Flexco's light-duty portfolio, advancing the company's commitment to delivering innovative solutions for food processing, logistics, airports, and specialty conveyor applications.

Byrne's 16-year career at Flexco reflects a steady progression of increasing responsibility and impact. He joined the company in 2010, becoming LD Engineering Manager just a year later. His promotion to LD Senior Engineering Manager in 2022 recognized his exceptional contributions to both product development and broader business strategy within the light-duty business unit.

Under Byrne's engineering leadership, the light-duty team has cultivated a customer-first approach, working directly with end users to identify challenges and develop targeted solutions. This focus on understanding real-world pain points has driven significant business growth and strengthened Flexco's position in key markets.

Byrne holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University. He is a graduate of Flexco's Leading Ahead program (2018) and is currently completing a Global Advanced Finance Certificate from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago (2026). This combination of technical expertise, leadership training, and financial acumen positions him well to lead the business unit forward.

As LD Business Unit Director, Byrne will also serve on Flexco's Senior Leadership Team.
