USDA FSIS updates fact sheet for food product dating

USDA FSIS has posted an updated food product dating fact sheet, which aims at reducing food waste by using a ``Best if Used By'' date label since research has shown that consumers easily understand this phrase is as an indicator of quality rather than safety. FSIS is also responding to comments received on the previous version of the fact sheet that was announced in the December 2016 Constituent Update.
