The Hostess Brands, Inc. board of directors has announced Andrew Callahan will begin serving as president and chief executive officer on May 7. He also has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Callahan, who has more than 23 years of branded consumer packaged goods experience, has held executive leadership positions at The Hillshire Brands Company, Sara Lee Corporation and Kraft Foods, Inc. Most recently, he served as the president of retail packaged brands at Tyson Foods.

Executive Chairman C. Dean Metropoulos, who has been serving in the expanded role of interim president and CEO, is staying on as the executive chairman of the Hostess board of directors.
