Diageo is planning to build a mid-sized Guinness brewery and an innovation microbrewery at its existing Relay, MD site. The brewery will make new Guinness beers for the US market. Visitors will be able to go on tours of the facility and stop by the taproom to try experimental beers brewed on-site.

Approximately 40 jobs in brewing, warehousing and packaging operations, as well as approximately 30 jobs in the Guinness visitor experience part of the project, are expected to be created. Diageo is anticipating the necessary approvals and the start of construction this spring. It expects to open the brewery this fall.
