Maple Leaf facility will produce plant-based tempeh, franks, sausages and raw foods

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiary Greenleaf Foods, SPC are constructing a $310 million, 230,000-sq-ft plant-based protein food processing facility in Shelbyville, IN. Construction is projected to start in late spring. Production startup is expected in the fourth quarter of 2020.  Approximately 460 people will be employed at the facility when the startup is completed.

 

GEA signs deal with the National Agricultural Development Company

GEA is enlarging and supplying the industrial equipment for what will be the largest olive oil mill in Asia. Located in Saudi Arabia, the National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC) project represents an investment of 3 million euros.
