Fluid bed drying system eliminates risk of explosion

The Witte fluid bed drying system features an integral baghouse dust collector set directly above the fluid bed drying zone to create a sealed system. Condensing the moisture removed with a chilled water coil allows 100 percent of the nitrogen to be recycled, increasing its amount in the process air to 85 percent, making combustion impossible. The baghouse design also allows fine particles to be dried in the fluid bed drying system. The system is suitable for food products that generate combustible particulates less than 200 µm.
