The first-ever ProFood Tech is less than two weeks away (April 4–6; McCormick Place, Chicago) which means it’s time to download the ProFood Tech Mobile App. Powered by Pro Mach and available from the App Store or Google Play, the App helps you to build a plan for the show, navigate the extensive show floor, allows easy access to your itinerary and provides helpful news and notifications that may arise during the show.

Produced by three of the world’s trade show leaders – PACK EXPO, Anuga and the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) – ProFood Tech welcomes more than 6,000 key decision makers to convene with 400-plus of the world’s top suppliers over 150,000 net square feet of exhibit floor.

If all of this was not enough to navigate during the show, ProFood Tech also features robust educational programming. The ProFood Tech Learning Hub features sessions from the free Innovation Stage and Regulatory Matters Stage, while IDFA is leading a strong conference program.

Each thirty-minute Innovation Stage session at ProFood Tech focuses on fresh looks at breakthrough technologies, innovative applications and proven techniques from industry experts. The new Regulatory Matters Stage features expert speakers presenting on key issues such as the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), recall avoidance, conducting internal audits, traceability, documentation, food safety management and much more. These sessions will be followed by roundtable discussions on these key regulatory challenges with experts and peers.

The ProFood Tech Conference Program, produced by IDFA, will offer a wide range of educational experiences covering issues such as: regulations and food safety, consumer trends and marketing, food processing advances and technology, as well as business and leadership development. The conference will kick-off with a keynote address by five-time National Football League (NFL) MVP Peyton Manning on Tuesday, April 4 at 8 a.m.

On top of these educational opportunities, ProFood Tech offers many networking opportunities. The Emerging Leaders Reception takes place on Tuesday, April 4 from 5–6:30 p.m. in room S102D at McCormick Place. Sponsored by PMMI's Emerging Leaders Network and MHI's Young Professionals Network, the reception presents an opportunity for young professionals and emerging leaders to connect with other rising leaders across several industries – food and beverage processing, material handling and supply chain and packaging industries. To RSVP to the event, email Liz Normandy, PMMI marketing & communications manager, at [email protected].

PMMI’s Packaging and Processing Women’s Leadership Network also presents the complimentary Industry Networking Breakfast for Women which offers a unique opportunity to network with fellow women in the industry at the newest trade show for food and beverage processing. The event takes place on Wednesday, April 5 from 8:30–10:00 a.m. in room E451B at McCormick Place, Chicago. If you are a woman attending ProFood Tech, register for this event now!
