X-ray inspection system delivers high penetration of food products

With 900W of X-ray power, the Thermo Scientific Xpert X-ray inspection system can detect a range of physical contaminants in large cartons, bags and trays, as well as dense, heavy products, such as cheese blocks, cases of spices and boxes containing various meat products. It includes a large aperture width and height; a trapezoidal, top-down X-ray beam that is 770-mm wide at the belt and 525-mm wide at the 300-mm aperture height; and a water-cooled ceramic X-ray tube. Available with three inspection widths, the system stands up to daily washdowns.
