Buhbli (“Bubbly”) Organics, a Canadian company specializing in pure, USDA-certified organic body care products, is extending its passion for the well-being of people and the earth to its packaging, through the use of biopolymers for its bath salt packaging. Buhbli was launched in 2014 by co-founders John Rody and Michelle Gojkovich with a clear vision and mission: “to create affordable, bath and body care products that are truly clean, green, and safe for all living things.” And now the flexible packaging for its Himalayan Bath Salts follows suit.

The new packaging uses Braskem’s I’m green™ Polyethylene, a drop-in biopolymer substitute to conventional PE that is made from sugarcane. Says Braskem, cultivation of sugarcane utilizes CO2 and releases O2, which gives the material a negative carbon footprint. “For every one ton of Braskem’s I’m green Polyethylene used, Buhbli Organics is sequestering 3.09 tons of CO2 from a cradle to Braskem gate perspective,” explains the company.
