Unifiller, a technology brand of Coperion and a global specialist in portioning equipment, is excited to announce the launch of its Robotic Cake Decorator, the HIRO Robot

The HIRO is designed for cake manufacturers with high-volume production needs. This innovative and precise robot excels at writing, drizzling, and creating custom designs, ensuring consistently eye-catching decorations that boost a bakery's brand recognition.

With an advanced washdown IP67 design, the HIRO is a recipe-driven robot that features an intuitive user interface, making it easy to develop complex cake designs. Users can store cake design profiles and recall them with the touch of a button. The HIRO is NSF and EHEDG compliant, making it ideal for hygienic, humid, and cold environments.

According to Derek Lanoville, R&D Manager, “Cake manufacturers can easily integrate the HIRO Robot into their existing or new decorating systems. It transforms bakery operations by reducing the strain, injuries, and burnout associated with repetitive decorating tasks while minimizing human error and contamination.” The HIRO's plug-and-play design allows it to roll up and operate on various conveyor styles effortlessly.

Lanoville also states, “With features such as the SafeVisionary2 vision-based safety enclosure, six degrees of arm freedom, one meter of reach, and repeatable movements with ±0.02 mm precision, the HIRO provides superior control for more precise application.” The HIRO has a load capacity of up to 14 kg, making it a versatile tool for additional tasks, including depanning, pick and place and palletizing.
