Marlen acquires Afoheat

Marlen International, Inc. has acquired Afoheat, which provides gas-powered heating, roasting, searing and grilling equipment for the food industry. Based in Veurne, Belgium, Afoheat offers continuous gas-powered infrared and direct flame technologies to enhance the appearance, aroma and taste of products such as meat, poultry, fish, vegetables and baked goods.

Marlen International is a premium global manufacturer of highly engineered food processing equipment and systems specializing in high-quality proteins and a variety of other food products. It is a Duravant Company.

 

On December 30, 2016, Piab acquired Vaclex, a Sweden-based manufacturer of ergonomic lifting systems based on vacuum technology. Piab has 13 sales offices and more than 900 partners, providing effective geographical and segment coverage.

 

Joyce Farms has completed a 10,400-sq.-ft. expansion to its USDA-inspected poultry processing plant in North Carolina to accommodate the growing demand for its specialty poultry, beef and game products. The expansion includes a new warehouse of dry storage space for labels, packaging and other materials, as well as a state-of-the-art hatchery.

 

 

DuPont Nutrition & Health has expanded the Kansas City laboratory that serves the North American cheese industry. In addition to increasing the physical space, DuPont has installed new equipment, including three bio fermenters, an incubator for growing cultures, a cheese vat for making cheese and two environmental cabinets for aging cheese.
