Perdue Farms announces key promotion

New CEO appointed

Randy Day, chief operating officer of Perdue Farms since May 2016, has been named chief executive officer of the company, effective immediately. He came to Perdue Farms in 1980 and has held a variety positions with Perdue Foods and Perdue AgriBusiness, including president of Perdue Foods. In addition to his new role as CEO, Day will be serving as a member of the company’s board of directors.

Purdue Farms is a third-generation, family-owned, US food and agriculture company. The PERDUE brand is the number-one brand of fresh chicken in the US; Perdue AgriBusiness is an international agricultural products and services company.
