Nestlé has purchased Texas-based Chameleon Cold-Brew, the No.1 organic cold-brew brand in the US, as part of its plan to bolster its coffee business. Nestlé bought a majority stake in Blue Bottle Coffee in September. The two recent acquisitions are seen as part of an effort for Nestlé to increase sales by gaining control of small independent brands that appeal to younger consumers.

Nestlé did not reveal the purchase price for Chameleon, which sells refrigerated ready-to-drink bottled coffees, concentrated cold brews, cold-brew kits and whole bean coffee.
