Südpack acquires first U.S. production site

The international flexible packaging manufacturer buys Seville Flexpack Corporation.

Südpack Verpackungen GmbH und Co. KG, one of Europe’s leading providers of flexible packaging solutions, has acquired Oak Creek, Wisconsin-based Seville Flexpack Corporation, a converter and provider of flexible packaging solutions that became part of the Südpack Group as of Oct. 1, 2017.

The acquisition is intended to strengthen Südpack’s business in the United States, which is expexcted to successively expand. Previously, the company’s only toehold in the U.S. market was a sales office in the Chicago area.

The Südpack Packaging Group is based in Ochsenhausen, Germany. A family-managed business that specializes in lid films, hard/soft films and bags, it operates 35 sales offices and production sites in Germany, France, Poland and Switzerland.
