FrieslandCampina finalizes U.S. acquisition

The acquisition marks the cheese maker's second U.S. purchase in December.

Dutch Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. has acquired the activities of Westchester County, New York-headquartered Best Cheese Corporation USA, which imports and sells specialty cheeses, including brands such as Parrano, Robusto and Melkbus, and different Gouda styles made from cow, goat or sheep milk. Best Cheese will be fully integrated into the FrieslandCampina Consumer Dairy U.S.A.-business. Earlier this month, FrieslandCampina bought New Jersey-based Jana Foods, an importer of fine cheese from around the world.
