A January 8th FiercePharma article divulged that generic drugmaker Perrigo has named Uwe Röhrhoff CEO. Formerly, Röhrhoff served as CEO of Gerresheimer, the German manufacturer specializing in primary packaging products for medication and drug delivery devices.

Röhrhoff succeeds John Hendrickson, who stepped down as CEO and board member on Monday after a brief 1-year tenure, although he had been with the company since 1989. Röhrhoff will face a variety of issues at Perrigo including restructuring, a federal investigation related to price-fixing, and the potential buyout of Merck KGaA’s consumer health business.
