Zurich-based Barry Callebaut Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, now owns GKC Foods (Australia) Pty Ltd.

The Barry Callebaut Group has successfully completed its acquisition of producer of chocolate, coatings, and fillings GKC Foods (Australia) Pty Ltd, which serves a variety of consumer chocolate brands in Australia and New Zealand. The integration of the companies, which has already begun, will establish Barry Callebaut’s direct presence and manufacturing capacity in the growing Australian and New Zealand markets. No financial details of the transaction were released.
