Buitoni Food Company Names First President and Chief Executive Officer

Peter B. Wilson, Jr. will lead the recently established company formed by Brynwood Partners VIII L.P. in July of this year.

Buitoni Food Company has appointed Peter B. Wilson, Jr. as its president and CEO. Prior to joining Buitoni Foods, Wilson was a managing director at Brynwood, a consumer-focused lower-middle market private equity fund, and president and CEO of Brynwood’s portfolio companies, including DeMet’s Candy Company and Balance Bar Company.

Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Buitoni Food Company was formed by Brynwood Partners VIII L.P. in July to acquire the North American Buitoni business, which includes the rights to the Buitoni brand in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean territories,  from Nestlé USA, Inc.
