Mount Franklin Foods Opening New Confectionery Manufacturing Facility

The site’s additional capacity will help ensure the company’s position as a resource for quality candy and fruit snack products in the retail and co-manufacturing markets.

Mount Franklin Foods, a leading manufacturer of branded, contract, and private-label confectionery, nuts, snacks, foodservice products, and dry blended ingredients, has opened a 220,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art confectionery manufacturing facility in San Jeronimo, Mexico. Adding 130 million pounds of capacity in soft non-chocolate candy, the facility will create over 300 new jobs. The first line is scheduled to open in October, while a second production line is expected to be fully operational by the second quarter of 2021.
