Weatherchem's IHOP at HOME Syrup Package earns Bronze Award from NACD

The National Association of Container Distributors (NACD) presented their 2012 Packages of the Year Awards at the NACD Annual Convention where the Bronze Award for the food category was awarded to IHOP at HOME Syrup which is topped with Weatherchem's LiquiFlapper cap.

This closure provides no mess, drip-free pouring for the product. Judges evaluated packages’ innovation, sustainability, graphics, decoration, shape, closure, texture, ease-of-use, consumer appeal, and technical merit.

The LiquiFlapper closure is a one-piece cap that flips open and securely closes with an audible snap.  The tight, leak-resistant seal locks in freshness and provides security. The LiquiFlapper also features a handy cut-off spout easily controlling flow of product. The lid helps prevent messes by staying open while pouring and the teardrop orifice eliminates glugging by allowing air to pass over the outbound stream of liquid.

LiquiFlapper’s flat top ensures easy integration into existing capping lines, and the cap’s contemporary look ensures the package is perceived as a more upscale item, driving brand preference through improved shelf impact.
