Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) has announced a series of executive leadership appointments as the company prepares for its planned separation into two independent public companies focused on beverages and coffee.
The changes support KDP's strategy following its acquisition of JDE Peet's and the creation of two standalone businesses: Beverage Co. and Global Coffee Co. The company expects the separation to be completed in 2027.
Among the appointments, KDP named company veteran Sudhanshu Priyadarshi as Chief Financial Officer of Beverage Co., effective July 7. Priyadarshi currently serves as chief strategy and transformation officer and has held leadership positions across finance, strategy and operations during his more than 15 years with KDP.
KDP also announced that Rafael Oliveira, who had been selected to lead Global Coffee Co. following the JDE Peet's acquisition, will depart the company after accepting the CEO position at Heineken. The company says it has launched a search for his successor.
CEO Tim Cofer says the appointments position the company to execute its separation plans while maintaining momentum across both businesses. Following the split, Cofer is expected to lead Beverage Co., while Global Coffee Co. will encompass KDP's coffee operations combined with JDE Peet's assets.
KDP says additional leadership announcements will be made as separation planning progresses.
