TreeHouse Foods to Buy Majority of Riviana Foods U.S. Branded Pastas

The move will complement and strengthen TreeHouse’s branded and private-label pasta portfolio, and increase the company’s ability to serve national and regional customers.

TreeHouse Foods has agreed to pay $242.5 million to acquire the majority of the U.S. branded pasta portfolio of Riviana Foods, a subsidiary of Ebro. The acquisition includes the Skinner, No Yolks, American Beauty, Creamette, San Giorgio, Prince and Light 'n Fluffy, Mrs. Weiss’, Wacky Mac, P&R Procino-Rossi, and New Mill brands, as well as the St. Louis manufacturing facility.

Subject to customary closing conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year.
