Bartek Ingredients, the global leader in malic and food-grade fumaric acids, is building a new $175 million facility in the Province of Ontario, Canada, which will double the company’s capacity and provide advanced production capabilities. It also will accelerate Bartek Ingredients’ product and process innovation efforts. Once the facility is completed, it will be the world’s largest and most technologically advanced malic and food-grade fumaric acid production plant.

Expected to reduce per unit greenhouse gas emissions by more than 80%, the new facility also will be the most environmentally sustainable plant in the industry. In addition, the facility will enable Bartek to lead its competitors in the application of advanced manufacturing principles, spurring continuous improvement and process innovation. The facility is projected to be operational at the beginning of next year.
