Keurig Dr Pepper has announced Tim Cofer will be joining the company as chief operating officer on Nov. 6. While serving in this capacity, Cofer will work with Chairman and CEO Bob Gamgort during a transitional period before assuming the role of CEO in the second quarter of next year. After the transition, Gamgort will serve as executive chairman of KDP.
Currently the CEO of Central Garden & Pet Company, Cofer was with Mondelēz International and its predecessor company, Kraft Foods, for over 25 years, most recently serving as executive vice president and chief growth officer.
Previously, he held the positions of president of Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa Mondelēz International and president of Kraft Foods Europe. He also served as president of Kraft Pizza and president of Oscar Mayer Foods, overseeing manufacturing and distribution operations, including a nationwide direct store delivery network. In addition, Cofer led the global integration of Kraft and Cadbury.
