U.S. Hemp Authority Names Official Certification Body

FoodChain ID, which developed, implemented, and marketed the Non-GMO Project Verification labeling standard, to take on responsibility in authority’s certification process

The U.S. Hemp Authority (USHA) has chosen FoodChain ID to serve as the exclusive certifying body for its certification seal. Certification helps farmers, product manufacturers, marketers, and retailers verify their product claims, since the parties are not licensed to use the seal until they meet stringent self-regulatory standards, pass an independent third-party audit, and enter into a licensing agreement.

USHA offers comprehensive guidance for growers, processors/manufacturers, and brand owners of ingestible and cosmetic hemp products.
