DanoneWave, which going forward will be known as Danone North America, has passed B Lab’s assessment that measures a company's environmental and social performance. B Corps are required to share their results and adopt a new legal status as a public benefit corporation, a status the business unit achieved last year.
In all, eight Danone units, including those in the United Kingdom and Spain, are now certified as B Corps. However, with more than $6 billion in revenue, Danone North America is not only the largest in the Danone family, it is the largest B Corp in the world.
