Ardent Mills has signed a 25-year agreement with US Solar to purchase approximately 1.8 million kWh annually, which is expected to reduce the energy costs at its Hastings Mill in Minnesota. Ardent Mills invested in sustainable energy solutions in Kansas last year at its Newton and Wichita community mills. The company estimates its total carbon footprint will now be reduced by over 29,000 metric tons each year.
