Conagra Brands provides grants to sustainability-focused nonprofits

Conagra Brands, Inc. has given $5,000 grants to six local organizations through its Sustainable Development Awards. The awards, which recognize and reward Conagra employee-led teams that create sustainability initiatives that reduce energy usage and waste, conserve water, promote recycling and promote sustainable business practices, allow each winning company facility to direct a $5,000 grant to a nonprofit organization to be used in their communities for projects with a focus on sustainability.

 

This year’s recipients are: Arkansas Parks & Recreation Foundation, selected by the Conagra Russellville, AR facility; Clean Water Expected in East Tennessee, selected by the Conagra Newport, TN facility; Council Bluffs Trees Forever, selected by the Conagra Council Bluffs, IA facility; Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition, selected by the Conagra Kent, WA facility;  PORT of Fort Madison, selected by the Conagra Fort Madison, IA facility; and Wisconsin Farmers Union, selected by the Conagra Menomonee, WI facility.
