The Pulse-Flow PTA pneumatic conveying system from process equipment manufacturer Gericke USA, Somerset, NJ, transfers bulk materials that require a controlled environment via an optional inert gas stream. Introducing nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, or another inert gas into the sealed pipeline via a pressure vessel, the inert Pulse-Flow PTA pneumatic conveyor safeguards materials from contact with oxygen, moisture, and/or airborne contaminants to protect product purity and prevent degradation. The potential for loss of potency, flavor, texture, stability, and other properties is minimized.
Suitable for transferring probiotics, spices, vitamin C, milk powder, polyethylene, and other powders, pellets, and granular dry solids, the Pulse-Flow PTA pneumatic conveyor operates in dense phase to transfer the material as pulsed slugs at distances up to hundreds of feet. The inert atmosphere conveyor comprises a feeding hopper, pressure vessel, pipeline, activators, gas supplies, and the company's proprietary touch-screen control system.
The inert Gericke conveying system is custom-engineered for each installation to meet targets for throughput, energy-efficiency, particle integrity, future flexibility, and other requirements. Testing is offered in the company's Somerset, New Jersey test laboratory.
