Mix-proof Valve for U.S. Dairy Applications

Valve maximizes plant uptime and provides flexibility in cleaning and dairy production schedules, as well as minimal CIP losses.

Spx D4 Pmo Valve 1

The recently launched SPX FLOW valve is designed for the U.S. dairy market in line with the latest 3-A Sanitary Standard 85-02 for Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO). The Waukesha Cherry-Burrell D4PMO double seat mix-proof valve maintains zero pressure within the vent cavity and includes a control unit that offers fully integrated position and seat lift detection with internal sensors to prevent the impingement of clean-in-place (CIP) fluids. The valve is available in mixed sizes to fit complex installations with minimal piping rework.

The D4PMO mix-proof valve helps maximize plant uptime and provides flexibility in cleaning and dairy production schedules and minimal CIP losses. It has a fully balanced design for flexible flow direction without slamming and integrated flow channels for flushing the upper balancer during seat lift movement, without the need for full actuation or additional external piping.
