Frito-Lay Expanding Georgia Plant

PepsiCo’s Plano, Texas-based division will add lines to produce Frito-Lay tortilla chip products and Baked Cheetos, and include space for future growth.

Frito-Lay is investing $200 million to expand its facility in Perry, Georgia, 30 miles south of Macon. The project will be adding manufacturing lines to make Frito-Lay tortilla chip products and Baked Cheetos Puffs, plus space for a future manufacturing line and a warehouse building. The expansion is expected to create 120 jobs at site, which currently employs more than 1,000 individuals.
