PepsiCo Buying Rockstar

Company expanding presence in growing energy category, adding to its energy portfolio that includes Mountain Dew’s Kickstart, GameFuel, and AMP

PepsiCo, Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire popular energy drink maker Rockstar Energy Beverages for $3.85 billion. Rockstar products are available in more than 30 flavors at convenience and grocery outlets in excess of 30 countries. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval, and is expected to close in the first half of this year.
