The Model 6500 oxygen analyzer from Illinois Instruments (Ingleside, IL) measures headspace oxygen levels from 0.001% to 100% in flexible or rigid packages.

Results are delivered within seconds via LED display. The operator calibrates the instrument simply by inserting the needle into the sample package and pressing an “analyze” button on the microprocessor-controlled instrument. It automatically extracts the sample via a timed internal pump.
