Native American design for salmon

Juneau, Alaska-based Health Sea, Inc., and the Native American community of the Kake Tribal Corp. are counting on package design to successfully launch the Keta(TM) line of 99% fat-free smoked salmon products within four U.S.

test markets. Fisher Design (Cincinnati, OH) helped develop the Keta trademark. It incorporates the tribal symbol of raven heads and eye, a salmon, and background graphics reflecting the wide-open spaces of Alaska. Health Sea introduced more than 15 Keta products this Spring in Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. A national roll-out is expected in the near future. Products are sold in supermarkets, where they're merchandised in the refrigerated case.
