Swaggerty’s Farm has brought a new 50,000-sq-ft production expansion online at its Kodak, Tenn., headquarters, a move aimed at increasing capacity and improving operational efficiency.
The sausage manufacturer says the addition marks a significant milestone for the company and is intended to support continued growth while maintaining product quality. The expansion incorporates energy-efficient systems and building materials, reflecting a focus on sustainability and ongoing process improvement.
Company leadership positioned the project as a way to scale operations without compromising its longstanding production approach. “Our growth is fueled by a simple philosophy: never forget where you started,” says Doug Swaggerty, President and CEO. He adds that the expansion will allow the company to grow while protecting the integrity of its process.
Founded in 1930 by Lonas Swaggerty, the company says it has grown into a national brand while remaining rooted in East Tennessee. Swaggerty’s Farm also noted it produces the top-selling boxed sausage patty on the market.
Southern Constructors Inc. served as the local general contractor on the project, partnering with the company on the design and completion of the expansion.
