JBS Tolleson, Inc. recalling 6.5 million pounds of beef

Possible Salmonella contamination is the cause

Arizona-based JBS Tolleson, Inc. is recalling 6.5 million pounds of various raw, non-intact beef products, which were shipped nationwide, due to possible Salmonella contamination. Fifty-seven cases of Salmonella illness linked to the outbreak were reported in 16 states between August 5 and September 6.

On the list are hundreds of products that were packaged between July 26 and September 7 with an establishment number “EST. 267” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were sold under the Walmart, Cedar River Farms Natural Beef, Showcase, Showcase/Walmart and JBS Generic brandnames.
