
DFA’s dairy brands division food safety and quality assurance team received IDFA’s 2021 Food Safety Leadership Award at the association’s Dairy Forum. The award, which honors an individual, group, or organization for demonstrating outstanding leadership directed at enhancing food safety within the dairy products industry, was accepted by Roger Hooi, DFA vice president of quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory.
Previous award recipients include Edith Wilkin, staff vice president and fellow, food safety and regulatory compliance, Leprino Foods; The Ice Cream Club, Inc.; Brian Kraus, director of food safety and regulatory compliance, Wells Enterprises, Inc.; and the Cornell University dairy foods extension team.
