Coupler facilitates communication among EtherCAT segments

The Beckhoff EK1000 EtherCAT TSN coupler enables the definition of data streams in heterogeneous Ethernet networks for real-time capable, prioritized transmission across the network infrastructure, allowing control systems to address multiple EtherCAT segments in real time. The unit has a 100 Mbit/s port that connects the coupler with the Ethernet or TSN network, as well as a second port for optional integration of additional remote EtherCAT devices.
